job description - Senior Manufacturing Engineer
- In this role, you will direct and coordinate activities of production department(s) in processing materials, manufacturing products, or production engineering performing the following duties personally or through Process Technician & subordinate supervisors.
Responsibilities:
- Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products,
- Prepares operational process and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications,
- Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and assists with maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays,
- Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization,
- Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards,
- Cost estimating for new products / drive ongoing cost reduction effort,
- Liaises with suppliers to ensure proper standards are met when ordering equipment,
- Development of process flows and PFMEA’s,
- Develop improvements to existing production process,
- Machine Responsible EMSEC.
What will make you successful:
- Qualified Toolmaker with Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 5-8 years progressive engineering experience in automotive manufacturing,
- Good knowledge of SAP; Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & MS Project & Auto CAD – Inventor),
- Knowledge of Minitab will be an advantage,
- Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions,
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
