job description - Regional Business Development Manager

Key Deliverables:

Local Market Acquisition Strategy Development:

  • Research and identify viable new local market acquisitions within the Public and Private sector industries.
  • Present Old Mutual SA holistic CVP to external stakeholders for the potential acquisition of new accounts.

Account Acquisition:

  • Acquire formal access and service level agreements with the client for each new Public and Private Sector account.
  • Collaborate and partner with internal business units to allocate the newly acquired account to the retail channels.
  • Manage and nurture the Service Level Agreements entered into with the client by ensuring that Workplace advisors are allocated formally to each account.
  • Ensure that the number of new market acquisitions remains adequate to cater to the demand required by the retail channel.
  • Influence and drive growth of provincial market share.
  • Collaborate and network with the internal business units in order to cross-connect and optimize new market acquisitions.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Lead, manage and nurture existing and new accounts, by influencing and strengthening stakeholder relations both internally and externally, through the efficient management of ensuring that the stakeholder is serviced with all of Old Mutual's offerings.

Account Management and Sales Support:

  • Responsible to ensure that Old Mutual's compliance standards are met in relation to Memorandum of Understandings and/or Service Level Agreements entered into with entities and or individuals within the Public and Private sector markets.
  • Ensure that allocated Workplace Advisors and Worksite Managers are supported and enabled with activation and onsite tools and marketing material.
  • Be accountable to ensure that ongoing Wellness Day and Financial Wellbeing Sessions activities are arranged for Public and Private sector accounts.
  • Be accountable to co-ordinate, facilitate, and efficiently manage the planning, scheduling, and communication of Worksite Activations with the Workplace advisors and Worksite managers.
  • Accountable for the responsible management of the annual regional marketing budgets.
  • Responsible to conduct stakeholder management reviews with existing worksites.

Minimum role requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • A relevant qualification in Business Economics
