job description - Legal Administrative Specialist

  • Administer the signatures process for a variety of documents including commercial agreements (i.e., with customers and channel partners), inbound agreements, NDAs, corporate agreements and corporate secretarial letters, etc.
  • Format and finalize executable documents, ensuring that all negotiated terms are accurately reflected
  • Review various legal files and rename them according to an established convention
  • Use intelligent judgment of when specific items deviate from established norms and processes
  • Recommend filing and signature system changes to increase efficiency or ease
  • Serve as the front-line legal contact for certain questions from business groups, such as sales and operations, and build an effective relationship with those groups to ensure the ability to determine how to address their legal needs
  • Handle cross-functional projects at the direction of the legal team including the drafting of policies and legal guidance, providing legal support to development of company processes, and providing general legal support to the Legal Department's customer groups
  • Develop an understanding and knowledge related to the information and legal documents that concern DigiCert’s products, services, architecture, and solutions
  • Update or create legal agreement templates and procedures when necessary
  • Organize, maintain, and manage contracts repositories and other legal documents
  • Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU HAVE:

  • 2+ years’ experience working in a Legal Administrative role in a law firm or office setting (preferred)
  • Bachelors Degree or Certificate Program in Legal Administrative Studies or similar
  • Knowledge of legal terminology, principles, and research techniques
  • Experience working with or supporting a sales team
  • Experience implementing/working with a CLM system
  • Experience or familiarity with internet-based technologies and/or a strong understanding of the day-to-day business operations at a private sector company
  • Ability to think critically, analyze, organize, plan, monitor, and report on new information and communications
  • Organized, attention to detail and accuracy in written work
  • Quick learner, problem-solver, self-starter, and flexible, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, complete tasks, and exercise independent judgment for issue identification and communication to legal team members
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to provide superior customer service in working with various departments throughout the organization
  • Proficient with Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and ability to quickly adapt to new computer technology
  • Ability to assume ownership and accountability for assigned projects
  • Strong work ethic, a “hands on” mentality, accountability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-evolving business environment
  • Desire to take on greater responsibilities as skills are developed
