job description - Laboratory Technician
You form part of a strong team contributing to the delivery on time of gases for all sectors internal and external customers
- Analysis of all Industrial Gases which includes Pures, mixtures & liquid Nitrogen, Argon & Carbon Dioxide
- Analysis of all Medical Gases which includes Pures, mixtures & liquid Nitrous Oxide
- Analysis of all Special Gases which includes Helium, Made to Order & Made to Stock mixtures.
- Reporting of analytical results on LIMS
- Routine calibration and maintenance of analytical instruments
What makes you great
- A post matric/grade 12 chemistry qualification is a minimum requirement
- National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry is a prerequisite
- 3 - 5 years relevant experience in a laboratory where the predominant instrumentation consisted of gas chromatographs
- Ability to report results on LIMS and print reports
- Work in accordance with ISO 17025 accreditation standard
- Basic Laboratory Safety Practice, computer literacy, initiative, attention to detail, sense of urgency, uncompromising with respect
