job description - Lab Admin Officer
To perform general administrative duties and specimen logistics in the laboratory.
Requirements:
- Certificate: Office Administration, Grade 12
Required Experience:
- Experience in a medical environment,
- Knowledge: Meditech system,
- Knowledge of compiling management reports to follow up outstanding results and specimens,
- Knowledge of the operation regarding the Immunology specimen storage system
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain good client relations in order to promote the image of Ampath,
- Perform administrative and materials management functions in order to ensure optimal functioning,
- Perform general laboratory tasks in order to ensure relevant safety and accreditation standards are maintained,
- Perform specimen management related tasks such as hub tracking, receiving, aliquoting, storage and tracing of specimen to ensure sufficient processing of specimen
