job description - Industrial Engineer


  • The Industrial Engineer is responsible to identify, design and improve production processes with the purpose of increasing productivity, eliminating wastefulness, reducing costs, and ensuring quality standards are maintained.

Main responsibilities

  •  Analyzing production processes, equipment, data, and related information.
  •  Overall Equipment Effectiveness analysis and optimisation.
  •  Designing production processes that maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
  •  Optimising process flow and First-In-First-Out systems
  •  Developing and implementing process improvements and technological upgrades.
  •  Designing control systems to minimize costs and production issues.
  •  Developing design and production standards and standard operating procedures in cooperation with management and user personnel.
  •  Designing the layout of facilities and determining personnel requirements.
  •  Training staff for new processes and providing instructions and manuals.
  •  Managing process documentation and preparing production reports.

  •  Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.

Education:

  •  BEng/ BSc Industrial engineering
  •  Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Experience:

  •  8 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
  •  Automotive industry experience will be advantageous.
  •  In depth technical understanding of work involved.
