• A global, fast-growing organisation in the niche insurance industry, based in Cape Town, is seeking the expertise of a Group Financial Accountant to play a critical role in the expansion of business into new markets.
• Financial reporting, management accounts and forecasting will be an essential element of this role along with providing support on tax compliance and regulatory quality control across international regions.
• Exposure and experience in the international insurance market will be instrumental partnered with a commercial and entrepreneurial mindset due to the fast-growing nature of the business.

Key Qualifications:

• Qualified CA/SA (highly preferred)

Experience:

• 3 years' post article experience as a Financial Accountant or relevant role.
• Exposure to the Insurance or Financial Service industry.
• International market experience, ideally UK, US and/or Australia.

Key Duties:

• Ensure that all recorded entries are prepared according to the acceptable accounting standards and principles, including monthly financial results.
• Continue implementation of financial systems and best practises.
• Assisting with annual budgeting, preparation and auditing of financial statements and overall tax structuring and compliance.
• Assisting and managing the relationships with outsourced in-country accounting partners.
• Preparation of the monthly and annually group consolidations.
• Adhere to compliance and keep up to date with financial and insurance regulatory requirements.
• Provide support to Chief Financial Officer on regulatory and tax reporting amongst other.
• Assist with financial inquiries through gathering analysis, summarising, and interpreting data.
• Monthly reporting to white-label and other distribution partners, locally and internationally.
• Monthly reporting on insurance KPI's which includes loss ratios, acquisition costs, retention rate and customer sales.
• Monthly management reporting to the Board and Shareholders.
• Provide details insights into all reconciled items.
