- Minimum qualification: Bachelors Degree/NQF level 7.
- Experience in a similar senior leadership role: >10 years.
- Demonstrable track record in supply and/or value chain solution sales.
- Availability to travel extensively, often at short notice.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Leading and managing cross-functional and direct teams in a matrix manner to execute business development strategies effectively.
- Conducting thorough market research to identify potential opportunities for business growth and expansion in multiple
- markets.
- Establishing, building and maintaining strategic partnerships with potential customers for supply chain, logistics and
- value chain solutions.
- Identifying new markets, industries, or product/service lines that align with the company's goals and capabilities.
- Negotiating deals, contracts, and agreements with potential partners, suppliers, or clients to maximize value and
- mitigate risks.
- Developing and implementing strategic plans and initiatives to drive business growth and achieve long-term
- objectives.
- Cultivating and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, investors, and industry leaders.
- Creating and implementing sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market share.
- Generating leads through networks, business relationships with key and potential clients.
- Assessing potential risks and opportunities associated with new ventures or partnerships and developing strategies to
- mitigate risks.
- Conducting financial analysis and feasibility studies to evaluate the potential return on investment (ROI) of new
- business opportunities.
- Monitoring and analysing the performance of business development initiatives and making the necessary
- adjustments to achieve targets and objectives.
