job description - Demand Planner
- The Demand Planner plays an integral role assisting with maximising customer service levels, through ensuring stock availability to meet demand and merchandising requirements.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Developing and executing demand forecasts based on demand patterns and business trends.
- Collaborating with leaders with regards to balancing stock and merchandising requirements.
- Develop strategies to optimise stock availability.
- Managing effective product phase outs and launching of new products.
- Minimising overstocks and understocks.
- Anticipating and mitigating supply risks.
- Working closely with our suppliers, looking at ways to effectively balance supply and demand.
- Planning and allocating the relevant stock requirements for new store openings.
The experience we’re looking for:
- Supply Chain/Logistics tertiary qualification preferable.
- Experience in the retail clothing industry would be advantageous.
- Experience in forecasting, demand planning or related field.
- Highly computer literate in MS Office with advanced spreadsheet skills is essential.
