Key qualifications for the Data Protection Compliance Officer:
- 5+ years in leading a data privacy team
- Hold at least one certification; CIPP, CIPT, ISEB
- Law degree, legal advisory, accounting, or audit experience advantageous
- Knowledge of EU data privacy and protection regulations
Key duties include but are not limited to:
- Ensure ongoing adherence to data privacy laws and regulations
- Lead GDPR data retention projects in collaboration with internal departments
- Be a direct point of contact for the data privacy team
- Liaise with DCC, internal functions, executive leadership, and external counsel
- Assist in the performance of assessments and maintenance of Processing Activity in accordance with the GDPR
- Guarantee the ongoing improvement of privacy governance frameworks
- Oversight and review of key corporate projects
- Working with the Information Security functions to perform assessment reviews on a periodic basis
- Assist with cross-functional communication to ensure employee awareness of data privacy
- Informing the DCC of strategic changes and act as a subject matter expert on data protection
