job description - Brand Manager - Maternity

Leads the implementation of the omni-channel (i.e., integrating traditional, digital, ecommerce and CRM channels to deliver a unified customer experience) marketing strategy and tactics and provide appropriate support to affiliates to assure the commercial success of assigned Abbott Nutrition Brands.

Supports the development of marketeers through peer coaching and feedback

Responsibilities

  • Analyse how our brand is positioned in the market and crystallise targeted consumers insights
  • Take brand ownership and provide the vision, mission, goals and brand strategies
  • Translate brand strategies into brand plans, brand positioning and go-to-market strategies
  • Lead creative development and create motivating stimulus to get targeted population to “take action”
  • Establish performance specifications, cost and price parameters, market applications and sales estimates
  • Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Manage marketing and advertising activities to ensure consistency with product line strategy
  • Monitor product distribution and consumer reactions
  • Anticipate bottlenecks
  • Recommend the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.
  • Brings new products to market by analysing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with NPI team.
  • Brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Develop relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in the field of medical nutrition to further establish Abbott Nutrition as a pioneering leader in science based nutrition.
  • Guide sales team through campaign implementation and ensure tactical execution at field level
  • Provide updated medical product training to the sales force on an ongoing basis.
  • Digital:
  • Leveraging digital platforms to drive and support customer engagement while at the same time educating and influencing cross-functional partners, customer, and consumers to adopt new ways of engaging and interacting
  • Use digital strategies, technologies, tactics and insights to develop integrated customer engagement plans that drive business impact
  • Leverage salesforce.com to create and deploy data-driven acquisition and engagement activities (e.g., marketing automation)
  • Respond to the changing landscape of the customer journeys using insight- and data-driven decisions to optimize engagement strategies, meet performance goals, and create value beyond products

Experience

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERTISE:

  • 5- 7 years experience in Marketing//brand Manager role ideally having done atleast 2 years of digital marketing.
  • Ideally having experience within consumer health and or OTC OR Pharma industry, having marketed to HCP’s
  • Proven ability to develop brand and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
  • Up-to-date with latest trends and marketing best practices
  • Comfortable working with numbers, metrics and spreadsheets
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Candidate should be able to Start in Feb 2023

Education

  • Tertiary qualification/degree in Marketing or a Business-related study
  • Additional Scientific qualification would be beneficial
