job description - Bookkeeper
As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Accurate, Complete Balance Sheet
- Process general ledger journals
- Managing of monthly provisions and accruals
- Month-end transactions
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Investigate reconciling items within the general ledger reconciliations within a limited time frame
Liaise with Auditors to Ensure Audit Runs Smoothly
- Prepare audit file based on audit requirements from auditors
- Assist with all audit queries
- Ensure all relevant documentation requested by auditors are submitted
- Conduct monthly follow ups until financials are received
Teamwork and Self-Management
- Follow through to ensure that personal quality and productivity standards are consistently and
- accurately maintained
- Demonstrate consistent application of internal procedures
- Plan and prioritise, demonstrating abilities to manage competing demands
REQUIREMENTS
What are we looking for?
To qualify for this role, you should have
- Diploma/NQF level 5. B Comm (Accounting) -SAIPA Articles preferential (would be an advantage)
- 2-3 years related experience in a similar role- SAGE X3 experience preferable.
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably in a retail or fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
