• The Turbine Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient and continuous operation of the turbine area which includes the coal-fired boilers and turbine auxiliary equipment.

Responsibilities

• Start up the turbines with the authorization of supervisors so as to power the whole factory.
• Servicing of the turbines and filters at the authorization of supervisors.
• Dutifully reporting any abnormal situation on the turbines to supervisors.
• Overseeing the general operations of the turbines both during the day and night on a shift basis, for continuous power generation to the whole plant and factory.
• Dutifully writing and typing turbine reports on an hourly and daily basis and submitting them to supervisors.
• Ensuring that adequate power is been generated and supplied to the whole factory by the turbines as the case may be for on-ward production processes.
• Operate/monitor the equipment and make minor adjustments as necessary.
• Conduct routine rounds on equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment.
• Assist maintenance when necessary to support overall maintenance of the plant.
• Ensure that the turbine is balanced, and operates according to safety regulations by monitoring the equipment during operations.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields with a minimum of 4 years of work experience.
