job description - Restaurant Manager

  • A renowned restaurant in Lekki, Lagos, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team.
  • The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's daily operations, managing a large staff force, and ensuring the highest level of customer service is maintained at all times.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO to streamline operations, drive revenue, and uphold the reputation of the Restaurant as a premier dining destination.

Job Responsibilities
Operational Management:

  • Oversee all day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including opening and closing procedures, staffing, inventory management, and cleanliness standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment for all staff and customers.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize efficiency and productivity.

Staff Management:

  • Recruit, train, and manage a diverse team of servers, waiters, kitchen staff, and support personnel.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to ensure high levels of employee morale and productivity.
  • Foster a positive work culture and promote teamwork and collaboration among staff members.

Customer Service:

  • Lead by example and set the standard for exceptional customer service.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a timely and professional manner, striving to exceed customer expectations at every opportunity.
  • Implement strategies to enhance the overall dining experience and build strong customer relationships.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the restaurant budget, including revenue forecasting, expense control, and profit optimization.
  • Monitor financial performance metrics and implement strategies to increase profitability and revenue growth.
  • Implement cost-saving measures without compromising on quality or service standards.

Leadership and Communication:

  • Act as a strong and effective leader, inspiring and motivating staff to achieve their goals and objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with the CEO, providing regular updates on restaurant performance, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management / Food Service Management / Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in restaurant management, with a proven track record of success in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to command respect and inspire confidence among staff members.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-centric mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Highly organized with strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to think quickly on their feet.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and restaurant management software.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
