job description - Residential Property Manager
- We are seeking to hire an experienced property manager who will be responsible for managing and maintaining properties on behalf of the company.
Responsibilities
- Managing rental properties, including collecting rent, handling maintenance requests, and responding to tenant complaints and inquiries.
- Advertising vacant properties to attract new tenants, screening and selecting tenants, negotiating leases, and handling lease renewals.
- Managing property finances, including preparing budgets, collecting and recording income, paying bills and taxes, and reporting financial information to property owners.
- Maintaining and repairing properties, including coordinating maintenance and repair work, overseeing contractors, and ensuring that properties are kept in good condition.
- Enforcing lease agreements and property rules, including dealing with tenant violations, managing evictions, and resolving disputes.
Requirements and Qualifications
- An HND or B.Sc Degree in a related field such as Business Management, Real Estate, or Property Management.
- Should have a real estate broker's license or a property management license, which typically involves passing an exam and completing certain educational requirements.
- Must have a minimum of 10 - 15 years experience in property management or a related field such as real estate.
- Must have strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
- must be able to effectively manage tenants, contractors, and property owners, as well as handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Must have a good understanding of real estate law, landlord-tenant law, leasing agreements, and property maintenance and repair.
- Should also be familiar with relevant software and technology for property management, such as property management software, and online advertising platforms.
