job description - Research Assistant

  • At McPeniel Consultancy, the responsibility of a Research Assistant is to research and develop content in response to task assigned. Conduct literature reviews, prepare interview or questionnaire and analyse qualitative and quantitative data from the business management and social sciences.

Requirements

  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields such as Business Management, Social Sciences, Economics, Demography Statistics or a related discipline is typically required.
  • Research Experience: Previous experience in research or a related field is advantageous. This could include academic research or research assistant roles.
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in qualitative data analysis methods, including coding, categorizationand thematic analysis. Also, proficiency in quantitative data analysis software such as SPSS oe Excel is required.
  • Writing Skills: Strong analytical writing skills, including the ability to draft reports, literature reviews and other research documents are essential.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and the capacity to generate research questions and hypothesis.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to organize and manage research materials, data and documentation effectively.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing research needs and priorities.

  • Research Skills: Strong research skills are essential, including the ability to gather relevant information from various sources, critically analyze data and synthesize findings into coherent content.
