Responsibilities

  • Conduct real-time monitoring of financial transactions to identify and investigate irregularities or suspicious financial activities.
  • Identify patterns or trends in financial transactions that may indicate fraudulent or high-risk activities.
  • Implement and adhere to robust procedures for reconciling financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to validate and rectify discrepancies in financial records.
  • Utilize advanced reconciliation tools and technologies to streamline and enhance the accuracy of financial reconciliation processes.
  • Stay updated on regulatory standards and industry best practices related to transaction monitoring and financial reconciliation.
  • Generate detailed reports on transaction monitoring findings, reconciliation outcomes providing insights and recommendation for finance, audit & management review.
  • Implement preventive measures to address potential discrepancies proactively and improve financial accuracy.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of transaction monitoring activities for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as audit & internal control and engineering to address identified issues and implement solutions.
  • Continuously assess and improve transaction monitoring and reconciliation processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Advanced Degree is a plus.
  • 3+ years of proven experience as a financial reconciliation & transaction monitoring role in a financial institution/ FinTech.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial reconciliation processes and transaction monitoring best practices.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Google Suite.
  • Proficiency in using Financial software and reconciliation tools is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements in the financial industry.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and documenting findings.
  • Problem-solving abilities to identify, investigate and resolve complex reconciliation and discrepancies in financial transactions issues.
  • Organizational skills to maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Continuous learning mindset to stay updated on financial regulations and best practices.
  • Ethical conduct and integrity when handling sensitive financial data.
  • Prior experience in financial audits is advantageous.
