job description - Quality Management Officer
- Manage the Food Safety Management System for DP & CSC Commissaries in the various regions by planning and Executing Food Safety Compliance Audit for both Commissaries with the RA/QC Officers for the regions
- Perform an evidence based follow up of all audit recommendations raised to provide assurance that recommended controls are fully implemented within agreed target date(s)
- Monitoring and providing feedback on actual performance versus the approved annual internal audit plan
- Design a Quality Control Framework for Assessing and Auditing DP & CSC Commissaries with the RA/QC Officers for the regions
- Develop and maintain a robust occupational health and safety management system for DP & CSC Commissaries.
- Plan, organize, schedule and conduct inspections of facilities, work areas and equipment. Monitors site conditions, practices, and procedures for compliance with health and safety requirements. Select and implement corrective action and follows-up to ensure proper action has been taken.
- Assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other safety assessments to support Health, Safety and Environmental management.
- Maintain relevant HSE logs and documentation with the HSE Executive for the Commissaries. Assist in the compliance of applicable laws and regulations - Fumigation, Fire Drills and Water Analysis Schedule
- Prepare applicable HSE reports as necessary - Monthly and Weekly HSE Reports with the HSE Executive.
Qualifications
- A good Degree (HND / B.Sc.) in Food Technology / Catering and Hotel Management, Nutrition, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry, or Agriculture.
- Professional qualification will be an added advantage (e.g., FSSC 22000; HACCP L3; ISO 9001; ISO 45001; CIEH; ISPON etc.)
- Experience in performance of quality and safety task in a production setting is essential.
