job description - Program Manager


Coordinate all activities of the CLAP OVC Project in Abuja head office and across all state Offices.
Ensure all deliverables in the CLAP’s Scope of work are achieved and on time.
Develop the capacity of all project staff to deliver effectively on their various thematic areas.
Collect activity reports of all program officers and ensure same is submitted to the NPM within 48 hours of such activities
Mentor and supervise all project staff
Ensure all program officers maintain hard and soft copy files of all activity reports
Ensure VC and households folders are updated regularly by the responsible staff
Ensure the NOMIS database is regularly updated by the responsible staff
Ensure all program activities are conducted and reported as planned
Submit monthly work plan to the NPM on or before the last day of the preceding month
Submit weekly work plan to the NPM on or before 9 am on Saturday of the preceding week
Submit monthly narrative and M&E reports to the NPM on or before the 26th of the same month
Submit weekly progress report to the NPM on or before 9 am on Saturday of the same week
Respond to data, information, and other project-related requests from the funder or Program Manager whenever needed.
Develop annual capacity building plan for staff in Niger office and submit to National Program manager within the agreed timeline
Assist the National Program Manager in implementing Staff Capacity Development Plan
Ensures comprehensive stakeholders’ analysis is documented for the project.
Develop links with stakeholders in the state/LGAs.
Supervise the activities of other program officers.
Conduct Performance Appraisal for all project staff biannually and make recommendations for reward/penalty.
Ensures an internal arrangement to mainstream sustainability efforts in all our projects and submits a sustainability plan for all projects before the commencement of projects.

Requirements:
First Degree in Social Sciences or related discipline with at least 4-5 years experience of direct work with OVC and HIV prevention, and Household and At least 4 years experience as a Program Manager in an NGO.
