The Role:

The primary function of the Payments Team is to sustain unrivalled digital sports entertainment experience to all Betking customer's by ensuring all withdrawals and deposits are paid within the agreed time frames based on the company's Policies.

The Payments Manager will play a key role in our continued growth and achievement of operational excellence by leading a small but growing payment operations team. The Payments Manager will be a hands-on yet strategic individual who will ensure continuous improvement of our customer payment process.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead the Payments Department and management of staff and provides direct supervision of the Payments Leads.
  • Mentor team, identify training needs and build a strong team
  • Participate in key decisions as a member of the operations management team.
  • The Payments Manager is responsible for ensuring the payment process is completed in a timely and accurate manner for withdrawals and deposits.
  • Ensure coalition payment policies are applied and accuracy is checked.
  • Work with the Payments leads to implement financial management and reporting.
  • Every customer that requests a withdrawal and makes a deposit must comply with the requirements outlined in our policy and it is the responsibility of the Payments Manager to ensure that there are checks and balances in place so that payments are completed and processed accurately.
  • Work and maintain relationships with Banks/3rd party processors for implementation of products/first-time resolutions on failures etc.
  • Work with various departments to create reporting, dashboards, subscriptions, and alerts for accurate functionality and statistics for the department.
  • Identify and review other competitors/drive innovation to keep abreast of new features and provide suggestions to management.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the payment process and provide creative ideas for changes to be made.
  • Ensure that all information of confidential nature is held in a secure and confidential method.
  • Will be required to work closely with the CS, CX and Fraud & Risk Team
  • Conduct regular analysis of payment department performance/define and follow KPI's/follow up on improvements and identify areas of failure.
  • Assessing new changes and identifying risks on clients/system/staff.
  • Completing incident reports, assessing and implementing of fixes short/long term.
  • Implementation of SOP – Escalation procedures for bank failures.
  • Responsible for the general office management.

Reporting

  • Report to the Head of Payments on audits performed when required.
  • Generate payments reports for Head of Payments.
  • Work closely with finance on report creation and assessment.
  • Review/assess/insights and implementation of improvements on the dashboard.
  • Assessing staff SLA on completing runs/admin support – average time to close items.
  • Monthly reporting when required.

What you need for this role:

  • Relevant work experience in the payments department in a Managerial or Supervisory capacity
  • Experience in managing a team
  • Expertise in audit, risk and control functions
  • Proficient within MS Office applications (Word and advanced Excel)
  • Experience in sports betting or the gaming industry is plus

  • Must be deadline and target driven with good time management
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt well to change
