job description - Inventory Storekeeper

  • Our client is seeking a meticulous and organized individual to join their team as an Inventory Storekeeper. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the inventory management system, maintaining accurate records of stock levels, and ensuring efficient utilization of space within the warehouse or storeroom.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock shipments.
  • Organize and maintain inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.
  • Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed to avoid shortages.
  • Perform regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and logistics departments to streamline inventory processes.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize losses and damages.
  • Prepare and generate reports on inventory activities, stock levels, and trends.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse or storeroom.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while handling inventory items.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience working in inventory management or warehouse operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge of inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
