job description - ICT Officer

Key Responsibilities
ICT Management:

  • Plan, organize, control, evaluate and report on all IT and electronic data operations to ensure the efficient functioning of all ICT systems.
  • Stay updated on technological advancements and periodically recommend upgrades or improvements to existing systems to the management.

Laptop Management:

  • Manage and maintain the operational efficiency of company laptops, including regular updates, troubleshooting, and ensuring security application are functioning to limit liabilities and risks.
  • Provide a monthly report to management on the operational, maintenance and the shelf life status of all company laptops.

Internet Service Coordination:

  • Manage and coordinate with internet service providers (ISP) to ensure the availability of high-quality internet service at all times.
  • Promptly address any issues related challenge to internet connectivity.

Zoom and Platform Sessions:

  • Organize and conduct demonstrations for students and staff on platforms like Zoom.
  • Ensure the smooth running of virtual sessions and troubleshoot any technical issues.

SIM Card Registration and Company Phones:

  • Ensure the proper registration of all company SIM cards before staff is issued.
  • Oversee the management and proper usage of company phones

Facility Management and Inventory:

  • Provide periodic documented facility management report, including electricity, lighting, and online class gadgets.
  • Implement and maintain an effective inventory management system for all ICT-related equipment and resources.

Induction Kits:

  • Design ID cards for students and staff based on the available template.
  • Coordinate the distribution of induction kits to new students and staff.

Entire Facility Electricity and Lighting:

  • Take responsibility for the entire facility's electricity and lighting systems.
  • Ensure proper functioning and maintenance to support the organization's activities.

ERB and Administrative Software:

  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of ERB and administrative software.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to optimize the use of software for administrative processes.                                                                  

Meeting:

  • Set up, coordinate and manage all zoom meeting and take virtual attendance. 

Requirements

  • B.Sc or HND in ICT or ICT related field.
  • In-depth knowledge and operation of ICT gargets and Virtual meeting platform.
  • Minimal of 3 years experience in ICT field.
