Responsibilities
Diagnosis and Repair:
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, cranes, and trucks.
- Perform routine inspections to detect and prevent problems before they escalate.
Maintenance:
- Conduct regular maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication, to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
- Follow manufacturer guidelines and maintenance schedules.
Parts Replacement:
- Replace or repair faulty parts and components, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems.
- Source and order replacement parts as needed.
Welding and Fabrication:
- Utilize welding and fabrication skills to repair damaged equipment components or structures.
Documentation:
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used, hours worked, and diagnostics performed.
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
- Inspect equipment to ensure it meets safety standards.
Customer Service:
- Communicate with equipment operators and other staff to gather information on equipment performance and issues.
- Provide clear explanations of required repairs and maintenance to clients or supervisors.
Training:

Qualifications
