job description - Dispute Resolution Officer-Smartcash PSB
- To handle all chargeback transactions raised against SmartCash PSB on the different switching platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract chargeback reports from available portals and effectively resolve all claims in an accurate and timely manner.
- Review and accurately respond to communications received from settlement bank and/or the switch to identify if there are any variations with items logged in the portals.
- Engage Technology team to correct any identified issues on chargeback system/reports.
- Develop reports and analysis to support metric tracking statistics to management as requested to advise as to the status, volume, and potential chargeback exposures (if any).
- Processing of chargebacks to resolve valid submissions, authorized deductions and adjusting entries.
- Analyze and validate all chargeback disputes going into pre-authorization as notified by the Switching Company or Arbitrator.
- Timely engagement with all merchants and agents to obtain any pre-authorization evidence to avoid any financial exposures during chargeback dispute resolution.
- Identify and notify to the Team Lead or Head of Operations on any suspicious activity related to chargeback process.
- Confirm all debits passed on the Acquirer (Smart Cash PSB) by the switching company or settlement bank. This should include complete validation of all entries passed in the account.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Line Supervisor/Manager.
Educational Qualification, Experience & Competencies
Education and Certification:
Must-Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Banking & Finance, Accounting or Finance.
Work Experience:
- Over 5 years of working experience in the Fintech or banking industry, fully integrated in all aspects of the chargeback process.
- Experience on settlement and daily reconciliation processes will be an added advantage.
Skills and Competencies:
- Advanced skills and working knowledge of MS Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to pay attention to details.
- A general knowledge of accounting principles.
