- We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Course Facilitator to join our team.
- The Course Facilitator will be responsible for delivering high-quality training sessions and facilitating engaging learning experiences for our students enrolled in cybersecurity and information security courses.
Key Responsibilities
- Course Delivery: Deliver interactive and engaging training sessions to students enrolled in cybersecurity and information security courses.
- Curriculum Development: Assist in the development and enhancement of course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, presentations, and hands-on exercises.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in cybersecurity and information security, staying abreast of the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the field.
- Student Support: Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to students throughout their learning journey, addressing their questions, concerns, and challenges effectively.
- Assessment and Feedback: Administer assessments, quizzes, and evaluations to measure student learning outcomes and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, managing classroom dynamics and ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other instructors, instructional designers, and staff members to continuously improve course content, delivery methods, and student engagement strategies.
- Professional Development: Pursue ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills, knowledge of industry trends, and instructional methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Professional certifications in cybersecurity such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Proven experience in cybersecurity and information security, with a strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, principles, and technologies.
- Previous experience as a trainer, instructor, or facilitator in a corporate training, academic, or professional development setting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for teaching, mentoring, and inspiring others to succeed in the field of cybersecurity.
- Proficiency in instructional design principles and e-learning technologies.
- Familiarity with a variety of cybersecurity tools used for vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, network monitoring, and incident response, including Nessus, Metasploit, Wireshark, Nmap, Snort, Burp Suite, Splunk, and others.
- Experience with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and Unix, and virtualization platforms like VMware and VirtualBox.
- Understanding of encryption technologies and tools, firewall solutions, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), security information and event management (SIEM) platforms, cybersecurity frameworks, and network security tools.
- Basic proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Ruby.
- Ability to adapt to varying learning styles, preferences, and skill levels among students.
