- The U.S. Consulate General in Lagos, Nigeria is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for a CLO Assistant position in the Community Liaison Office.
Duties
- Incumbent provides administrative support to the Community Liaison Office (CLO).
- Develops and maintains key contact and manages information that benefits the morale and welfare of the consulate.
- Compiles, writes for and publishes a monthly newsletter communicating information concerning community and Lagos activities as well as places of interest in Nigeria.
- Promotes and advises implementation of cross-cultural activities and provides expert advice on Nigerian culture and language to Consulate staff and family members.
Education Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school is required.
Experience:
- A Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in an administrative position involving contact with the public or a customer service position is required.
Job Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of the Nigerian and regional geography, history, culture, customs and an overall knowledge of local resources for shopping, travel and leisure activities.
- Must have the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of pertinent Department of State and Family Liaison Office (FLO) regulations, programs and policies.
