job description - Accountant
- Aid managerial planning and commercial decision-making tasks by providing appropriate financial information and undertaking related accounts administration.
- Monitor all financial data and prepare accurate statements for the company.
Management Accounting:
- Preparing reports, budgets, commentaries, and financial statements
- Undertaking financial administration and internal audits including that of sales and stock.
- Liaising with managerial staff, other colleagues, and subordinates
- Developing and managing financial systems/policies
- Controlling and forecasting income and expenditure
- Creating business strategies to generate shareholder value.
Financial Accounting:
- Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities)
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements)
- Forecast costs and revenues
- Manage tax payments
- Prepare budgets (for the entire company and by department)
- Analyze financial trends
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes
Job Requirements
- Must hold a B.Sc or Higher National Diploma in Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Must have previous experience using sage software.
- Previous experience working in a similar role.
