Roles

• Apply new accounting policies to ensure compliance with all applicable rules and regulations
• Identify new initiatives and make recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial systems and processes
• Maintain and update accounting records and files
• Post transactions and categorizes records in the general ledger by assets, liabilities, revenues and expenses etc.
• Handle vendor payments, customer receipts and ledgers
• Handle monthly employee salary
• Review, pay and confirm accuracy of employee pension with 3rd party providers
• Conducts month-end, quarter-end and year-end close procedures
• Analyze revenues, expenses, assets and liabilities to explain variances year-on-year
• Prepare and distribute Monthly and Quarterly Actual vs. Budget reports
• Provides information to auditors for year-end audit
• Advises the organization on financial issues as they arise
• Lead or participate in other approved initiatives and projects as requested by the organization
• Prepare reconciliations and reports for the CEO and external auditors including documenting evidence to support all reconciliations and reports

Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields with 5 years work experience.
• Experience with account reconciliation and year-end reports.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Experience in the application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles as it relates to recording financial transactions and financial statement presentation.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy and pay attention to detail.
• Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize assignments and work under time constraints to meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
