job description - Account / Procurement Executive
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
- Preparing and verifying payment instructions.
- Reconciling bank balances to ensure effective control over financial information.
- Preparing and checking sales quotations/invoices.
- Provide general accounting support.
- Overseeing all activities of the purchasing department.
- Following and enforcing the company's procurement policies and procedures.
- Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased.
- Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
- Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
- Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
- Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
- Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports.
- Carry out all other duties as delegated by Senior Officer.
- Ensure adherence to policies and procedures of the finance department.
- Maintain records of all financial transactions and correspondence s in the requisite files (invoices, credit notes, remittance slips, copies of withholding VAT and any other accountable correspondence)
- Ensure that collections and banking are done in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- B.Sc / HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fields.
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience performing a similar or related role.
Competencies:
- Have excellent computer skills with a good grasp and knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing and other MS office applications.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented multicultural environment.
- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Be a fast learner and pay attention to details.
- Have personal integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Have an analytical mind and keep up with product and service trends.
- Ability to negotiate well and ensure that all purchases comply with company standards.
