job description - Account Officer / Accountant
- Prepare weekly and monthly management accounting reports for the company.
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries into general ledger accounts and document business transactions.
- Evaluate, maintain and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures
- Monitor and review accounting related system reports for accuracy and completeness
- Prepare and review budgets, revenue, expense, payment vouchers, invoices and other accounting documents
- Prepare Payroll, Pensions and PAYE Schedules
- Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget
- levels and ensure expenditure control
- Document financial transactions by entering account information
- Reconcile Bank Accounts and other asset records and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options
- Maintain financial databases, computer software systems and manual filing systems
- Supervising the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company automated financial systems
- Attend to Internal and External Auditors during Audit visits and respond timely to Audit Queries.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register of the company and track depreciation, addition, and disposal of Assets.
- Carry out other accounting related responsibilities as may be directed by Management.
Qualifications
- B.Sc, B.A, HND + ACA or ACCA or ICAN
- Minimum of six (6) years verifiable post- professional qualification experience acquired in an audit or financial accounting environment.
- High Proficiency in MS-Office, and SAGE. Other software packages will be taught as may be required.
- Age at Entry: 30 - 40 years.
