Sales Target:
- The Business Development Officer will be responsible for driving business growth through the development and management of B2B distribution channels for solar energy products.
- The role requires experience in sales, market expansion, and relationship management within the renewable energy industry.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy Execution:
- Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies aimed at expanding the company’s B2B distribution network.
- Work closely with the Sales Manager to align sales efforts with the company’s business objectives.
- Research and identify new opportunities to expand B2B channels within the renewable energy sector.
Channel Development & Management:
- Identify and develop partnerships with distributors, retailers, and wholesalers to grow the company’s reach in solar energy product distribution.
- Manage relationships with existing partners while seeking new B2B opportunities.
- Ensure optimal performance of distribution channels by monitoring sales performance, addressing challenges, and providing regular feedback.
Market Expansion & Research:
- Conduct market research to identify new trends, competitor activities, and potential areas for business growth.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create entry strategies for emerging markets.
- Continuously evaluate market conditions and adjust strategies to maintain competitive advantage.
Business-to-Business (B2B) Sales:
- Lead efforts to acquire new business clients through cold calling, networking, and attending industry events.
- Focus on developing long-term relationships with business clients to ensure repeated sales.
- Support the Sales Manager by identifying key clients and creating tailored sales approaches for B2B channels.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing business clients.
- Ensure consistent communication with B2B clients to address their needs, resolve issues, and upsell products.
- Provide after-sales support to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.
Sales Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track and report on sales activities, results, and forecasts to the Sales Manager.
- Analyze sales data to identify performance gaps and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager to evaluate market opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the product, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure smooth execution of sales strategies and campaigns.
- Provide insights into customer feedback and market trends to support product development and marketing efforts.
Frequent Travel & Territory Management:
- Travel within assigned regions to meet clients, close sales deals, and support business expansion efforts.
- Ensure comprehensive coverage of target markets and territories, developing new business in untapped regions.
Salary
- N120,000 / Month Plus 30,000 allowance
- Sales commission inclusive.
