Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Organization Overview
- Join a dynamic nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women through socio-economic development programs. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer to drive our mission by ensuring the effectiveness and sustainability of our programs.
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring and Evaluation:

- Develop and implement robust M&E frameworks, procedures, and tools to measure program performance and impact.
- Monitor project activities, expenditures, and progress to ensure alignment with goals and outputs.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data to provide actionable insights that drive decision-making and program improvements.
- Establish and track performance indicators and success metrics for program evaluation.
Program Support and Strategy:
- Collaborate with the program team to design and implement program strategies, activities, and evaluation methodologies.
- Participate in the development of proposals, reports, and funding applications.
- Support the integration of feedback into program design for continuous improvement.
- Conduct capacity assessments and build organizational expertise in monitoring and evaluation practices.
Reporting and Accountability:
- Prepare timely and comprehensive reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) on program performance, impact, and recommendations.
- Contribute to annual project reviews and planning workshops, offering evidence-based insights.
- Ensure accountability by maintaining accurate records of program files, participant data, and stakeholder feedback.
Stakeholder Engagement and Events Coordination:
- Organize and coordinate program activities, including workshops, training, seminars, and stakeholder events.
- Mobilize stakeholders, including participants, media, and partners, to enhance program visibility and impact.
- Represent the organization at programmatic events and external engagements as needed.
Field Work and Analysis:
- Conduct field visits to assess program implementation and collect on-ground data.
- Stay updated on regional socio-economic developments and provide relevant recommendations for programmatic adjustments.
Qualifications and Experience
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Data Analysis, Economics, Social Development, International Relations, or a related field.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in M&E roles within nonprofits or international development, focusing on economic empowerment, education, or capacity-building programs.
- Proven track record in project cycle management, data collection, analysis, and impact evaluation.
- Hands-on experience with donor-funded programs, particularly in women’s and youth empowerment initiatives.
- Must have experience in NGO or international development sectors
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software for monitoring and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of nonprofit strategies, logical frameworks, and Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE).
- Exceptional report writing, proposal development, and presentation skills.
Key Competencies and Attributes:
- Analytical mindset with the ability to extract meaningful insights from data and translate them into actionable strategies.
- Effective communicator, skilled in presenting complex data in clear and concise formats.
- Demonstrated organizational and multitasking skills, capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively in a team and with diverse stakeholders.
- Flexibility to travel for fieldwork and program activities as required.
Salary
N500,000 – N533,000 / Month.
