JOB TITLE: Extruder Supervisor – Eastern Premier Feed Mill

JOB LOCATION: Calabar, Cross River

JOB DETAILS:

• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of fish feeds in pellet forms.

The Duties

• Maintain production records and ensure extruder operators are completing records accurately.
• Perform daily inspection, reconciliation and/or audit of finished products before they are shipped.
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of products.
• Complete shift activity reports and submit to Production Manager daily.
• Maintain housekeeping at high level in Extrusion area, through the involvement of all extruder operators.
• Initiate, recommend, investigate, troubleshoot and provide solutions and actions.
• Prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to products, processes and quality systems.
• Review production schedules, work orders, and other records/reports.
• Evaluate current production workload.

Qualifications

• 5 O’ level credits including Mathematics & English in not more than 2 sittings/NABTEB/ Trade test.
• OND in Sciences or Engineering.

Experience:

• 2 years’ cognate experience in a supervisory role within the manufacturing environment.

The Person Must:

• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to investigate and identify root causes behind nonconformities and machinery breakdowns.
• Audio/visual skills in presentation of information and training material are essential.
• Be proficient with Microsoft office suite or related software.
• Be able to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
