JOB DETAILS:

• The Head of Finance for Dangote Cement Transport is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing all financial activities within the Transport division of Dangote Cement.
• This leadership position will involve strategic financial management, policy development, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations while supporting the growth objectives of the transport operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies that align with the overall business goals of Dangote Cement Transport.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes to ensure financial targets are met.
• Manage the accounting and financial functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Ensure compliance with financial and regulatory standards, including IFRS and local legislation.
• Analyze financial performance and present insights and recommendations to senior management for decision-making.
• Support investment analysis and assess financial implications of operational decisions.
• Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to improve financial operations and efficiencies.
• Oversee cash flow management and optimize working capital.
• Lead and mentor the finance team to build capacity and promote professional growth.
• Collaborate with other departments for effective resource allocation and cost management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Advanced degrees (MBA or Master’s in Finance) or professional certifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) are preferred.
• Minimum of 20 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role, ideally within logistics or transport-related industries.

• In-depth knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
