- We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Maintenance Officer to oversee the maintenance and repair of our facilities and equipment.
- The ideal candidate will ensure that all mechanical systems, electrical installations, and equipment are maintained to the highest operational standards.
- You will be responsible for conducting regular inspections, performing necessary repairs, and coordinating with external contractors when required to ensure the smooth functioning of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of buildings, facilities, and equipment to identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for key equipment and systems to avoid breakdowns and ensure smooth operations.
- Repair Work: Diagnose and fix faults or malfunctions in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or other systems, ensuring quick and efficient resolution.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and standards, minimizing risks to staff and property.
- Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and equipment status reports.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage maintenance supplies and equipment inventory, ensuring that necessary materials are always in stock.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate and supervise external contractors for specialized repairs or services when needed.
- Emergency Response: Be available for emergency maintenance calls to address critical issues swiftly and minimize downtime.
- Facility Upgrades: Assist in planning and executing facility improvement projects, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Officer or in a similar role.
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment and machinery efficiently.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external contractors.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
