JOB TITLE: Business Development Manager (Oil and Gas)
JOB LOCATION: Victoria Island, Lagos

- To identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities for the company, ensuring sustainable growth through strategic planning, targeted sales efforts, and market analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities aligned with company goals.
- Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets, aligning strategies to exceed company objectives.
- Ensure regular monitoring and management of the NipeX portal, identifying relevant opportunities, and coordinating timely submission of required documentation.
- Screen, prepare, and manage tenders for new contracts, including analysing market strategies, deal requirements, and financial evaluations.
- Lead contract negotiations and facilitate the execution of business agreements.
- Analyse market trends, competitor strategies, and industry developments to position the company competitively.
- Collaborate with internal teams to close out pending tasks, align on operational needs, and improve customer service.
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships, fostering long-term business partnerships.
- Maintain an updated database of clients and prospective customers.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, performance reports, and market analysis for management.
- Resolve customer complaints promptly and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients and seamless project delivery.
- Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and forecasted business development outcomes.
- Other tasks s assigned by line manager
Key Accountabilities
- Achieving sales and revenue growth targets.
- Securing new contracts via NipeX and other tender processes.
- Maintaining updated records of market insights and client interactions.
- Accuracy of sales forecasts and reporting
- Compliance with credit policies and reduction of bad debts
Key Skills,Experience and Qualifications required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 8+ years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in the oil and gas sector.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing client relationships.
- Strong knowledge and experience of depot operations, petroleum product sales, and market trends.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple clients and tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM
Salary
N700,000 Monthly.
