job description - Treasury Clerk
- Record banking operations on a weekly basis from various bank interfaces, perform check deposits and related journal entries.
- Ensure cash management on a daily basis to meet operational needs, i.e. preparation of transfers between bank accounts, purchases of foreign currencies, payment preparations from the banking platform, payment of installments, preparation of bank drafts.
- Perform on a monthly basis the reconciliation of payment issues by check, cable and electronic transfer, payroll reconciliation, bank reconciliations and consumption tax declarations.
- Communicate regularly with our service providers and banks to provide customer service and support operations in their activities.
- Open and close bank accounts following business acquisitions. Participate in the financial audit and audit of SOX and internal controls.
- To join our team, you must, among other things: *
- DEP or BAC in accounting or equivalent
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience (accounts receivable preferred)
- Good knowledge of Excel
- Bilingualism; French and English (required because of lot of distributions centers are all over Canada)
- Be comfortable with the operation of computerized accounting systems such as Sage and Excel
- Experience with Bank reconciliations, accruals, accounts payable and receivables
