job description - Material Supply Agent (Aerospace)
- They are the link between production (they need the part) and supply chain management (are the people that order the parts)
- They are taking the material requirement from production and sourcing the parts themselves
- They ensure that all the time requirements are met
- They will coordinate with supply chain management team on if there are any clarification needed on timeline, they will engage with interchangeability request (example: if supply chain says cannot give this part but is there something else, they can use)
- They verify the material when it arrives, regarding quantity, certification to install parts
- They organize the return of left over or unserviceable material back to the customer or the warehouse (back shop in Germany)
- They take care of C&E, its an emergency shelf that holds certain parts and they have small inventory for emergency.
- They also manage some consumable for production, when they are engine manual related. Example: specific tape for a specific manual to do job, they need to keep track of inventory that follow strict guideline
- They work on projects with other departments on how material is being organized for production
- They coordinate internally with planning team for any material clarification on a daily basis (example: if Item in warehouse was placed by accident or where it needs to go on production floor)
- Must haves:*
- 1-2+ years of supply chain experience/ logistics or material management within Aerospace
- Have experience working in a warehouse
- English first
- MS office
- Asset:*
- BA/ MLA agent
