- We are is seeking an innovative and results-drivenHead of SalesandMarketing. This leadership role is critical in driving revenue growth, expanding market reach, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders across the agriculture and allied sectors. As a leader within our team, you will design and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies, harness advanced tools like Apollo and other marketing technologies, and play a pivotal role in securing high-value partnerships. Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to enhance Welcome2Africa’s brand visibility, focusing on trade and investment facilitation.
- Lead digital marketing initiatives, including email campaigns, social media, and content marketing, to generate leads and engage customers.
- Utilize Apollo and other cutting-edge tools to manage lead generation, prospecting, and outreach campaigns, ensuring a robust pipeline of business opportunities.
- Oversee the creation of compelling marketing materials and sales collateral targeted at both local and international audiences.
- Analyze market trends in agriculture, trade, and investment sectors to identify new growth opportunities.
Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth:
- Lead the sales team to drive revenue across core offerings, including trade facilitation services, events, and consultancy projects.
- Utilize CRM platforms like Apollo and Zoho CRM to manage prospects, track sales progress, and optimize sales processes.
- Identify and secure key accounts, sponsors, and partnerships, converting leads into long-term business relationships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with broader business objectives and ensure project success.
- Negotiate and close high-value deals with international clients, investors, and sponsors.
Business Development & Strategic Partnerships:
- Identify strategic partnerships in agriculture, investment, and trade facilitation sectors to strengthen Welcome2Africa’s market presence.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry associations, government agencies, financial institutions, and international organizations to support business growth.
- Oversee the marketing and sales for flagship events like the EU-Nigeria Business Forum and Nigeria Energy and Maritime Week, ensuring strong delegate participation and sponsorship.
- Collaborate with the Investment and Trade Facilitation team to connect foreign investors with local agribusinesses and create sustainable trade partnerships.
Digital Marketing & Lead Generation:
- Leverage Apollo and other digital marketing tools to design and execute lead generation campaigns, maximizing outreach efforts.
- Manage SEO/SEM, PPC, and email marketing campaigns to boost online visibility and drive engagement with target audiences.
- Implement and maintain CRM systems to ensure effective tracking of client interactions, lead nurturing, and sales processes.
- Analyze digital campaign performance and utilize data-driven insights to optimize results and maximize ROI.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing and sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Provide training to team members on digital marketing strategies, sales techniques, and lead generation tools like Apollo and Zoho CRM.
- Set clear KPIs and monitor team performance to ensure alignment with overall business goals.
Market Research & Insights:
- Conduct thorough market research to stay ahead of industry trends, identify new opportunities, and understand competitor strategies.
- Provide strategic recommendations to senior management to improve marketing continuously and sales performance.
Communication & Reporting:
- Prepare comprehensive reports on marketing and sales activities, highlighting achievements, challenges, and growth opportunities.
- Maintain strong communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure cohesion between marketing, sales, and business development efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in marketing and sales leadership, preferably in trade facilitation, investment, or agriculture sectors.
- Proven experience with lead generation and CRM platforms like Apollo and Zoho CRM.
- Strong understanding of B2B sales, business development, and international markets, particularly in agriculture and trade.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and strategies (SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, etc.).
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams and driving measurable results.
- Knowledge of Africa’s trade and investment landscape, particularly in agriculture, is highly advantageous.
- Experience organizing and promoting large-scale international events is a plus.
